Your Angels on Joy
Plus Touchstone, poetry, indigenous wisdom
I have the best friends. They are angels on Earth. They are constantly showing me the most amazing things… Saying/texting/emailing me content that exclaims, “Look! Look at this beauty!” And so I do, and I am always better for it.
My angel friends send me so much content that I can create entire blog posts from their shared wisdom without much work on my part. (Genius!) Hence, this email.
Here you will find a mashup of work that they brought forth for me, much to my benefit… Maybe it will serve you, too?
What Your Angels Want You To Know Right Now
Last week, my friend Erin texted me a link to the song Angles by Khalid (lyrics pasted below). Her text popped up on my phone as I was driving to a client’s home for a meeting — and precisely when I was praying for angels (especially passed loved ones) to show themselves to my client during our appointment, which was held in her living room. And that they did. They always do.
Our angels never fail us, never leave us, forever love us. This is the truth.
Your angels, especially your passed loved ones, have a few powerful statements they want me to make on their behalf about one subject in particular: JOY.
If you are reading this, these messages are meant for you. Here they are.
Heal your joy.
That is a choice. It’s choice after choice after choice. It is work: Do it. Stop wasting time. Stop wasting life. For every fork in the road where Choice presents itself, choose joy. Over and over and over again.
Your passed loved ones want this for you for several reasons:
First, they now know that we are meant to live joyful lives. That was the divine plan for us from the get-go, but over time this plan got corrupted. A large part of their work now is to help restore this plan, so they send us signs, nudge us from behind, place people and events in our paths that act as catalysts in service to this larger mission. Pay attention: Angelic help is incoming from every direction.
Second, they now know that happiness, delight, awe, laughter — these emotions and experiences are of the highest vibration available to humans. So when you do these things, you come closer to them. From this improved proximity, they are better able to commune with you, guide you, assist you (see above). And they really want to be in service to you this way. Like, a lot. A lot a lot. So, help them by helping yourself: Go with joy.
Third, they now see all the missed opportunities they had to heal their joy. “If they had it to do all over again,” as the cliché goes, they would have more fun, laugh harder and longer and at more things, not take themselves or anyone else so seriously. They’d follow their passions instead of money, quit horrible jobs that suck their energy, take more risks on love, let mean and divisive influences fall away, shower more people with more affection. They now see what’s possible — anything and everything — when you act from your heart with joy instead of your thinking brain with fear, and they are doing everything they can now to help you reorient your compass this way.
Your angels speak the truth. Please, can we listen?
Touchstone Healing Arts: A Divine Home for Healing
At the advice of my friend Lisa, I recently landed at Touchstone Healing Arts Center in St. Charles. It’s a charming brick house that feels like Home. The experts here offer bodywork and spiritual support for optimum wellness in the form of Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, chakra and other energy work, and very VERY high-vibration intuitive guidance (and more). I found a long-lost sister here in founder Jeanie Gillam; everyone under the roof is a blessing.
As you goal-set and ground yourself for 2023, consider visiting Touchstone for some nurturing and guidance — a beautiful way to honor the divine being you are.
Mary Oliver, Yes
My friend Matthew texted me this poem last week. It took my breath away.
It reminds me of my friends — the angelic human company I keep who show me the way every day — and my work on this planet.
I am here to point and exclaim “Look!” with a big smile on my face, getting you to look, too — sometimes at otherwise hard-to-look-at things like dying and death, sometimes at mysteries that challenge the mainstream like mediumship, sometimes simply at the brilliance a majestic hawk cuts against the backdrop of opposing rush-hour traffic on Hwy. 270. Even my logo says, “Here, look at this light I found — it’s yours too.”
Without further ado, look at Mary Oliver’s words:
Mysteries, Yes
Truly, we live with mysteries too marvelous
to be understood.
How grass can be nourishing in the
mouths of the lambs.
How rivers and stones are forever
in allegiance with gravity
while we ourselves dream of rising.
How two hands touch and the bonds
will never be broken.
How people come, from delight or the
scars of damage,
to the comfort of a poem.
Let me keep my distance, always, from those
who think they have the answers.
Let me keep company always with those who say
"Look!" and laugh in astonishment,
and bow their heads.

Ancient Wisdom —> Contemporary Healing
(I have no specific human friend to credit here… I happened upon this piece during the handful of minutes a day I allow myself to scroll my newsfeed.)
A newly published article in Scientific American illuminates mediumship in beautiful, compelling ways that our culture doesn’t — namely as a “spiritual tradition,” one that functions as a healing modality for processing grief.
Hello!!! Yes. A million times yes.
Bless the Sora Indigenous from the highlands of Odisha, eastern India — and this author and this publication — for making known to us what our ancestors have known forever: “After-death” communication is real and healing.
Indigenous cultures across time and space have turned to medicine women (most Sora shamans are female!) and men to channel the dead — and without doubt, shame, or judgment — since the life-death divide was created by humans. And as a result, they experience less of a divide, if any.
Imagine that… Imagine not being stuck in the muck of mourning, of grief, of separation. Imagine releasing your “death grip” on life. Imagine how much more vibrantly you’d live your life, knowing that there are no limits to love, no limits to anything ever.
You don’t have to imagine this, actually. This can be your reality in this lifetime, should you choose to step into your inherent power to change your worldview. Mediumship is one of many portals available to help you do just that.

Death is nothing.
A final message for you today, courtesy of my former client and now friend Sarah. Her beloved father passed earlier this year; I was and still am deeply honored to have served Sarah and her family during his transition.
To mark her dad’s birthday earlier this month, Sarah texted me this image. Beautiful ideas to sit with.
May all of you feel the presence your angels — in your living room and everywhere.
In great love,
Amy
Angels
by Khalid
I've been seeing angels
In my living room
That have walked the sun
And have slept on the moon
Covered in the fragrance
Of their own perfume
Telling me the stories
Stories coming true
Well you see these angels
These angels see the light
Yeah I had my troubles
Troubles, all right
I've been seeing angels
They'll hold onto their secrets
And tone our memories
We float above horizons
And sail across the seas
I hope for better days
And rainy times are tough
The angels give me strength
And I'm not giving up
So I wipe away my tears
I unveil my pain
They're brushing off my shoulders
And I hold on to their stain
I've been seeing angels
Angels
Angels
